A CTD cast was conducted overtop of today's dive site in Block Canyon (no water samples were collected). We are currently conducting mapping operations (including subbottom until 2200) southeast of Block Canyon. An ROV dive is planned for tomorrow at site "Gauntlet Minor" to the east of Block Canyon. Launch is planned for 0830 (weather permitting). 07/24/2013,11:02:08,iscwatch,Dows something need to be reset on the okeanos main feed? Beautiful Day for Dive 16 of the first leg of CANEX~ 07/24/2013,12:11:28,Andrea Quattrini,15 min to ROV Launch!!!! AN Exciting last dive. 07/24/2013,12:18:12,Andrea Quattrini,Today we are diving to ~1100 m in an intercanyon, site name Gauntlet Minor. The purpose of the dive is to explore both east and west walls of a narrow, intercanyon which is not currently connected to the shelf. Objectives of today's dive include characterizing the geomorphology and benthic communities. We are excited that we have made it to dive 16 during leg 1 of CANEX. Thank you all for your help, input, collaboration, and communication. 07/24/2013,12:23:34,Tim Shank,Dive 16 “Gauntlet Minor” 07/24/2013,Between Block and Alvin Canyons 07/24/2013, 07/24/2013,Waypoints 07/24/2013, 07/24/2013,Launch 07/24/2013,39.81678265 07/24/2013,‐71.1233554 07/24/2013,1110m 07/24/2013, 07/24/2013,WP1 07/24/2013, 39.81657157 07/24/2013,‐71.12208683 07/24/2013,1029m 07/24/2013, 07/24/2013,WP2 07/24/2013, 39.81700299 07/24/2013,‐71.12462403 07/24/2013,1036m 07/24/2013,12:25:06,Tim Shank,D2 in water 07/24/2013,12:26:16,Andrea Quattrini,D2 in water 07/24/2013,12:29:11,Tim Shank,The LOG CODES for today's dive:  BIO -
