We are currently conducting mapping operations (including subbottom until 2200) southeast of Block Canyon. An ROV dive is planned for tomorrow at site "Gauntlet Minor" to the east of Block Canyon. Launch is planned for 0830 (weather permitting).

Objectives of today's dive include characterizing the geomorphology and benthic communities. We are excited that we have made it to dive 16 during leg 1 of CANEX. The last ROV dive of the cruise was completed today at an intercanyon area to the east of Block Canyon and the ship is currently acquiring multibeam data while transiting to New York, NY. We are slated to arrive pierside tomorrow around noon.
