Feed 2 is restored 07/10/2013,12:15:23,Andrea Quattrini,Good morning. This is Andrea Quattrini and Brendan Roark from the Okeanos Explorer. The ship is currently east of Nantucket Canyon at 39d52.5768N 069d43.9111W. Today’s dive is set to launch at 0830 eastern time. The ROV D2 will be lowered to ~570 m to survey a chain of pockmarks on the upper continental slope directly above the headwall scarp of a landslide. The scientific rationale for this site is to investigate the potential for theses feature to be created by ephemeral or long-lived gas or fluid flow and characterize the pockmark morphology, sediments, and linkages to nearby landslides. We will also survey the diversity of fauna in and around these features. The dive track will start in the east and move ~1200 m west across the pockmark features in the area above the headwall. 07/10/2013, 07/10/2013, 07/10/2013, 07/10/2013,12:16:39,jasonchaytor,Good morning Andrea and Brendan! 07/10/2013,12:16:58,Andrea Quattrini,Good morning! 07/10/2013,12:17:51,jasonchaytor,I am back at ISC.
