05/26/2013,20:12:26,briankennedy,Good Afternoon  After a couple days out of the water the weather has cleared up. We just deployed the ROV at 1600 eastern and the plan is to recover at 1900. Today we are diving on a suspected hard bottom in the inter canyon area between Norfolk and Washington Canyons (37° 10.931'N 74° 23.364'W). The dive site is in about 1300 meters of water. Today’s dive will be devoted to tuning the ROV control systems and testing/tuning the hydraulics.

The planned dive site is just north of Baltimore Canyon in 1500 meters of water.  Overnight tonight we will be filling in holidays from previous multibeam survey conducted in the area.
