This will be a recon dive, starting at a water depth of ~1730 m.  During the first week of Leg 3, we have been developing and refining methodologies for quantitative assessment of gas escape rates and bubble sizes from naturally occurring seafloor seeps.  Dives have taken place at tow sites on Biloxi Salt Dome and at Pascagoula Dome.  This dive will complete this phase of Leg 3.
